Dale Griffiths Stamos I bring my experience as both a writer and a teacher to my manuscript consulting. As a playwright, my full-length play, One White Crow, a top ten winner of the Writer's Digest Stage Play Competition, received its world premiere at Arena Players Repertory Theatre in Long Island, New York, and will be opening in Los Angeles at Edgemar Center for the Arts in April, 2013  Love Struck, an evening of my one-acts, about love, ran at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in 2012 and starred the iconic Barbara Bain.  Thicker Than Water, an evening of my one acts, about family, ran at the Promenade Playhouse in Santa Monica in 2011 and also starred Barbara Bain. My full-length play, Dialectics of the Heart, won the Jewel Box Theatre Original Playwriting Competition and was produced at Edgemar Center for the Arts, where it starred three-time Emmy nominee, Sharon Lawrence. My full-length, Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night, also a top ten winner of the Writer's Digest Stage Play Competition, received a developmental workshop at Pacific Resident Theatre in Los Angeles. My short and one-act plays have been produced in the U.S. and abroad. My ten-minute play, The Unintended Video, won the coveted Heideman award from Actors Theatre of Louisville and is published by Samuel French.
 
As a screenwriter, I have written and produced or co-produced four short films, The Dinner Guest, Unintended, Lost Music and Match Made. Lost Music and Match Made have screened at multiple film festivals and won two Audience awards and one Jury award. The recently completed The Dinner Guest and Unintended are currently being submitted to film festivals.

In television, I was commissioned to work on a CBS school break special, Words Up!, and was nominated for an Emmy for my shared story credit. My film work includes short screenplay adaptations of two of my one-act plays (Lost Music and Match Made) and a feature length screenplay adaptation of my full length play, One White Crow.
 
My poetry has been published in numerous magazines and journals including Calyx, Rattle, ONTHEBUS, and Mothering.
 
Every June, I lead a 5-day workshop on Story Structure for All Genres at the renowned Santa Barbara Writers Conference. I will be leading two workshops in 2018 at the prestigious San Miguel de Allende Writers Conference and Literary Festival in Mexico. I have taught story at Cal Arts, have led story workshops at the Southern California Writers Association and the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights; and I currently teach writing classes at Santa Barbara City College in the Center for Lifelong Learning.
