Dale Griffiths Stamos I bring my experience as both a writer and a teacher to my manuscript consulting. I am an award‑winning screenwriter, director and playwright. I have written six short films—three of which I directed—which have been official selections at over 60 film festivals, including Palms Springs Shortfest, LA Shorts International, Dances with Films, and The Newport Beach Film Festival. They have garnered two audience and eight jury awards. I have penned two feature‑length screenplays which have been named finalists or semi‑finalists in various screenplay competitions including Creative World Awards, Story Pros, and the New York City International Screenplay Awards. My short and full‑length plays have been produced around the country. I am the recipient of the Heideman Award from Actors Theatre of Louisville, and am a top‑ten winner, twice, in the Writers Digest Stage Play Competition. In television, I was commissioned to work on a CBS school break special, Words Up!, which earned me an Emmy nomination for shared story credit.

My poetry has been published in numerous magazines and journals including Calyx, bosque, Rattle, ONTHEBUS, and Mothering.

I am also co‑author of the nonfiction book RenWomen: What Modern Renaissance Women Have to Teach Us About Living Rich, Fulfilling Lives, called "a stunning work" by scholar and visionary thinker, Jean Houston. renwomen.com

I have been on the faculty of the Santa Barbara Writers Conference since 2004, where I lead a workshop on "Story Structure for All Genres." I have also led workshops at the San Miguel Writers Conference and taught writing classes at Santa Barbara City College, adult education.
